Recently, Kyle Busch spoke to FOX Sports and compared racing at Daytona last weekend, to this weekend’s race at Dover. He primarily focused on the temperature aspect of both races, where Dover was much cooler than Daytona. Busch noticed the difference during the caution period at the Dover International Speedway.

As it turned out, the sport introduced a new tweak to the stock cars in a bid to increase the airflow into the car. Busch said, “To me it felt way different, it was only 82 today, not 98 or 99{3e0544090c75b66d16c3eca4d142e2092ea98ee5f79f18046a1f13abafab9023} humidity like last week.”

This is why he admitted that it was difficult to compare the road course to the oval. However, the caution gave him a good indication of the temperature difference. ‘Rowdy’ observed that there is plenty of cooling inside the car which is far better than being in an oven and baking.

Where did Kyle Busch finish at Dover?

Denny Hamlin went on to win the NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover, while Martin Truex Jr finished as the runner-up. Kyle Busch finished the race in 3rd, in spite of starting 22nd.  However, Denny Hamlin completed a clean sweep, winning all three stages.

While Busch has been a solid Top-5 finisher with 11 of them in hand, he has yet to finish on the top step. Obviously, he will be quite miffed about that and determined to finally bag that elusive 2020 win.

In all honesty, it does reflect badly on Busch to not grab a win this season, especially since he is the defending champion.

Fortunately, he has a chance to do it again on Sunday, but it will be his penultimate chance to bag a win in the regular season. The only question is, can he finally get the monkey off his back?

He will have to stave off several challengers like Hamlin, Truex Jr, and the champion elect, Kevin Harvick.
